With the launch of FWF's 2020 season looming in the future, The FWF wanted to extend some opportunities to a few deserving wrestlers in the Southeast. "Mr. Handle That" Mike Facen was poised to do just that: Handle Waylon Barley and snag a clean victory, making him the first official contracted wrestler for the promotion. For those of you who joined us, you know things did not go as... planned.
The promoter, who, despite his apparent disappointment in the outcome remained true to his word and gave Barley the opportunity of a year long FWF contract. Upon presenting the paperwork, "Scarface" Waylon Barley began to threaten staff so security was called in to ensure everything went smoothly. But unfortunately the only thing that "WENT" anywhere was the security officer through a table.
This dark spot on an otherwise amazing evening is still unresolved. I commend the "Iron Ref" Kyle Weaver on reffing an intense card as well as remind readers of Mike Facens excellent athletic performance in this key match in FWF's young history.
Reports indicate that "Scarface" Waylon Barley has yet to sign an official contract and the spot remains open on FWF's Roster.
The promoter and head of the FWF was not available for comment and an assistant referred us to his legal team for any other details on the matter.

2 years, 2 months and 15 days ago I sent an email to one of my favorite Wrestlers in the world. The FWF was fresh out of the idea journal and slowly becoming a reality. I knew two things. 1) I wanted to change wrestling in my area of the country, and 2)I wanted Matt Cross in the main event. I knew I couldn't do the first without the second. The magic of Wrestling, the reason we love it... it's hard to define at times, Hard to put into words, but along comes someone like Matt Cross and you can see and feel exactly what that feeling is. He's known for his brand, but it's definitely his lifestyle, a lifestyle we want to live up to and pay respects to. It's a lifestyle known by just a few simple words: WRESTLING IS FOREVER. Let's show them why.
We've been taking our time with this and something is finally stirring... A new chapter is set to begin shortly. Though details are sparse at the moment, our research and commitment to the Fanatix Wrestling Federation has been simmering for quite some time now and we may have reached the boiling point.
Are you ready to witness history?
Are you prepared to taste the glory?
The ground will shake. The crowd will roar.
